What To Do

If you smell gas outside the building: shut off the gas at the tank and call Permagas.  We take care of the total propane system outside the building, and we guarantee our work for as long as our propane is used.  We do not work inside of buildings.

If you smell gas inside the building:  Do not cause ignition by using a light switch or telephone, shut off the gas at the tank, go next door and call your plumber or appliance serviceman.  If you don’t know who to call, we will immediately help you find a serviceman for your appliances or a plumber for your indoor piping.

Did You Know?
An odorant is added to propane for your safety. The odorant we add to propane is the same odorant used in natural gas. It smells like a skunk, rotten eggs, or bad cabbage, and is there to warn you of a leak.
